Meet the Team
Dr. Angela K. Burns
Dr. Angie followed in her father’s footsteps after growing up in his Middle TN dental practice. She always admired the care her father gave his patients, and she discovered at a young age that dentistry was her life’s calling.
After completion of dental school at the University of Tennessee Memphis College of Dentistry in 1996, Dr. Angie moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, where she completed a one year general practice residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. During her residency, she gained an unspeakable amount of knowledge and experience assessing and caring for medically-compromised patients, as well as those with challenging dental circumstances.
Dr. Angie is committed to pursuing continuing education to stay on top of trends and adopt new technology in order to give her patients the best possible care. She is a member of the American Society of Implant Restorative Dentistry and participates in advanced dental implant courses in pursuit of being one of East Tennessee’s leading implant dentistry experts. Dr. Angie also completed over 250 hours of classroom education at the Kois Center from 2016-2018 in Seattle, Washington. She is highly trained to help patients develop more comprehensive and predictable long-term dental health plan and provide multiple treatment options.
Dr. Angie received the Tennessee Dental Association’s Fellowship Award in 2012. This award, the highest honor the TDA bestows, recognizes dedication and outstanding service to the dental community.
Dr. Angie is a member of the TDA, American Dental Association, American Society of Implant Dentists, East Tennessee Academy of Dental Practice Administration and the Second District Dental Society. She has the distinct honor of being a fellow in both the International College of Dentists and the American College of Dentists.
Away from the office, Dr. Angie enjoys all that East Tennessee has to offer in outdoor activities. She spends time gardening, boating on Norris Lake and, of course, watching Tennessee Volunteers Athletics. Dr. Angie is an avid scuba diver, and she enjoys traveling to some of the best dive sites South Florida and the Caribbean have to offer. She has also enjoyed mission work in Honduras on the Island of Roatan.
Dr. Angie is very close to her family, and she cherishes the time she spends with them and her friends.
Yvonne
Yvonne is our front office representative and billing coordinator, and if she’s helping you get the care you need, you are a lucky individual! Yvonne has been taking care of patients in the dental field since 1991, and she’s been working at our office in Tellico Village since 1998.
She loves making new patients feel welcomed and ensuring old patients get the dental care they need.
Yvonne, a Friendsville, TN, native, loves spending time outside when she’s not at work. She enjoys camping, hiking and boating on the lake. She also prioritizes spending time with her friends and family when she’s not at the office.
She has been married to her husband, Randall, for 33 years and they have a daughter and a son.
Yvonne proudly attends Maryville Vineyard Church.
Pat
Pat is our office manager, and she makes everything easier for her coworkers and for our patients. She possesses 26 years of experience, and we’ve been fortunate to have her on our team for more than five years.
Pat loves serving the patients and getting to know them on a more personal level.
Outside of the office, Pat enjoys playing golf, hiking and traveling
Her passions in life are being a born again Christian and spending time with the family.

Dr. Burns
You’d be hard-pressed to find someone with more experience in the dental field than Dr. Burns, who has been working in the industry for 54 years! A graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, Dr. Burns opened our practice in Tellico Village in 1996.
Dr. Burns loves interacting with his patients and associates, and he feels truly fulfilled when he’s serving others.
Dr. Burns has been married to Bettye for 57 years, and they have two children, John and Angela. Dr. Burns works alongside Dr. Angie Burns at our office.
When he’s not providing patients with high quality care, Dr. Burns loves golfing, cooking, spending time in his garden, and University of Tennessee Athletics.
